Favorable Results in Radon Gas Measurement at Our Tui Facilities

At Montajes Rotelu SL, we reaffirm our commitment to safety, occupational health, and regulatory compliance.

Between October 2025 and January 2026, radon gas measurements were conducted at our industrial facility with offices located in Tui, Pontevedra, classified as Zone II according to Appendix B of Section HS6 of the Technical Building Code (IS47). The measurements were carried out by an accredited laboratory, with detectors installed in various areas of the facility and offices, following the guidelines established by:

  • Royal Decree 1029/2022, on health protection against ionizing radiation.
  • CSN Instruction IS-47.
  • Royal Decree 1217/2024, on nuclear and radioactive installations and activities related to exposure to ionizing radiation.
  • CSN Safety Guide 11.04.

The results were favorable, with no area exceeding the legal reference level of 300 Bq/m³, meaning no corrective measures were required, and only the current ventilation practices need to be maintained. These results confirm that our facilities meet the safety standards regarding radon exposure, reinforcing our commitment to a safe and healthy work environment.

To ensure transparency, the conclusions of the technical report are published, anonymized in accordance with the GDPR and LOPDGDD.

YEAR 2024

Throughout 2024, our company reinforced its commitment to sustainability by focusing on reducing printing paper consumption. We set an ambitious goal: to decrease paper usage by 30% compared to the previous year. In 2023, total consumption was 143 kg, and thanks to a series of innovative strategies and the involvement of the entire team, we far exceeded our target!

To make this challenge engaging and participatory, we implemented several initiatives:

  • Consumption Monitoring: A print tracking function was activated for each user, along with support for report exports.
  • Internal Awareness Campaign: Weekly updates were shared to keep all employees informed about progress toward the goal.
  • Fun Incentive: To strengthen commitment, we introduced a challenge where the user with the highest number of prints had to treat their colleagues to a tortilla. A fun way to promote responsible paper use!

Thanks to these actions and the collective effort of everyone, by December 31, 2024, actual paper consumption had been reduced to 62.75 kg, representing a 56% decrease, doubling our initial goal.

This achievement reflects the power of teamwork and how small changes can create a significant environmental impact. We will continue advancing in our mission to become a more sustainable and efficient company.

YEAR 2023

Throughout 2023, the company achieved significant environmental performance compared to the year 2022.

In 2022, 14,000 kg of municipal solid waste (MSW) were generated; while in 2023, this figure was reduced to 9,920 kg. This represents a decrease of 4,080 kg in the generation of MSW, equivalent to a reduction of 29.14% year-over-year. This notable decrease contributes to minimizing several environmental issues, including ocean pollution, drainage blockages —thereby reducing the risk of flooding—, disease transmission, respiratory conditions resulting from waste burning, harm to wildlife consuming these wastes, and, broadly, the negative impact on sustainable development.

YEAR 2022

In the 2022 fiscal year, as an environmental performance, the generation of RSU has been reduced by 33%.

By participating in the reduction of the industrial Oxygen generation process, which needs air and a large amount of electrical energy, and by reducing its consumption, we reduce CO2 emissions.

YEAR 2020

In fiscal year 2020, as environmental performance, the residue of PAPER / CARDBOARD was considerably reduced, generating 700 kg in fiscal year 2020, against 1,440 kg in 2019, with a reduction of 53%, which is a VERY satisfactory result.

In this way, we are contributing our grain of sand to reduce waste generation and preserve natural resources.

YEAR 2019

In 2019, the objective was to reduce annual plastic consumption by at least 50%, compared to the previous year.

For this, as of January 2019, an awareness phrase is included in all orders so that suppliers eliminate the use of plastic in their packaging. As a consequence of this, in 2019 only 180 kg of plastic were generated, compared to 1,140 kg in 2018, with a reduction of 84%, a very satisfactory result. In this way, we are contributing our grain of sand, for the decrease in waste generation and preservation of natural resources.
